I had to resort to cutting the waistband on a pair of longjohns to relieve the abdominal pain. Days earlier I received several warning signs. But, no, I didn't listen. Had to have my morning mug of joe. Not one, but two. Not weak, but thick as treacle. Serves me right. And the odd glass of merlot after a hard day in the salt mines.
I had to put those hot peppers into the salad. It was the greasy bacon that was the last straw, greasy bacon piled on top of my fake mashed potato (cauliflower) with runny eggs fried in the bacon grease.

Now, I have myself some ulcers and it's back to eating rice porridge for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the next week. And all because i didn't listen...

If there's a silver lining to all of this, it's that I'll probably lose a lb.

Hi Ms McDermott,
Thanks for commenting on my blog, you are too sweet. Regarding wisdom teeth I could not eat much at all!!! But I would seriously recommend (for nutrition purposes) freezing and then blending a banana. It is as creamy and delicious as icecream(the answer for wisdom teeth) but packed with healthy goodness. I also resortd to a mashed combination of sweet potato, broccoli and tuna. Mashed potato is always spoken about with wisdom teeth, but if you make it sweet potato or pumpkin it is much better for you. i hope this helps... be good

Thank you so much Ali! I should let you know that had I not shown up on my daughter's apartment doorstep with food in tow, she'd have starved to death!
I brought bananas, spuds and yams among other things.
We are very fortunate to have Imagine and Pacific brand boxed soups here in California. Gluten-Free and Dairy free. In case there are others who need this information:

For breakfast, I made her 'Goody', a dish my grandmother (and mother) made for me back in the old coutry (IRL) when was sick as a kid. This is basically white bread mashed up in boiled milk, sweetened with sugar. I got GF sandwich bread (rice based) and crumbled it into vanilla-sweetened soy milk in a pot on the stove. Mashed it well until it resembled pureed baby food, added agave syrup for sweetness and a whisked egg for nutritional value.
I made banana smoothies using a blender and soy "icecream" and OJ.

The soups were all pureed in the box. I just added a mashed spud to Imagine's leek and potato soup; polenta to Imagine's corn chowder and rice to a Thai ginger lemongrass soup. Thank God for the blender!
She refused to eat the tuna!
Thanks again for your help.
